Kristina Hallez is a research assistant at the SRC, working with Pathways in a communications capacity. She also works creating a digital forum for articles pertaining to social protection in the Arab world. This project is funded by the Ford Foundation and is being designed and implemented by the SRC. She graduated from Wesleyan University with a degree in psychology and served as the 2007-2008 Presidential Intern for the SRC. During her tenure as the Presidential Intern, Kristina assisted in the development of a pilot to implement conditional cash transfers in Egypt. She enjoys living in Cairo and is currently studying both Egyptian and Standard Arabic.
